Subject Description
Acquisition and Processing This subject includes items about the ordering process  used to acquire library materials.. Find Information about systems or vendors. Tip sheets or procedures related to technical services are in this subject.
Adult and Older Adult Services This subject features materials, articles and stories related to serving Adults and Older Adult library patrons.
Automation Systems This subject contains items related to library automation systems. Staff created training, tip sheets, Request for Proposals (RFP), user guides may all be found here.
Buy Sell Trade This subject is for the Buy Sell Trade collection. Use it when listing new or used library items to sell or give away or requesting new or used library items to buy or get.
Cataloging This subject contains useful information for library staff who catalog items for the library's subject. User guides, tip sheets, cataloging aids, articles and cataloging stories make up this subject.
Children’s Services This subject contains items related to library services for children. Stories, program ideas, craft ideas, photographs, forms for organizing story times, sample child registration forms are all examples of what you may find in this subject.
Circulation Services This subject contains items related to the circulation department in a library. User guides, bookmarks, staff training plans, library card application ideas, web pages with circulation information are examples of what you may find here.

Collections Items in this subject are related to materials found in a library, also called the collection. Stories about patrons' use of the collection, patron usage surveys, methods of organizing, user guides, and collection maps are examples of what you may find here.
Community Analysis This subject contains items used during a library's community analysis process. Surveys, letters to residents, charts, usage patterns, results, and process procedure are examples of what can be found in this subject.
Community Relations This subject contains items that deal with how libraries relate to their own community and the larger community of county and state. Items included here are ideas and stories of how libraries participated in the city fun days, like parades and cooperative programs with other city departments. Photographs, planning notes and tips are included in this subject.
Customer Service Items related to customer service in libraries are found in this subject. CS staff training curriculum, articles, tips, and stories about excellent customer service are examples.
Digital Literacy Items in this subject deal with digital literacy which is the ability to effectively and critically navigate, evaluate and create information using a range of digital technologies. Digital Resources Technology This subject contains items related to planning, implementing and using digital resources in the library. Policies, collections, devices, user guides, and success stories are examples of what you may find here.
Equipment Items in this subject deal with computer hardware and other equipment found in a library. Find user guides, troubleshooting tips, purchase recommendations, product reviews and other information related to equipment.
E-Readers Items in this subject are about e-readers in libraries. Information on planning, implementing and maintaining e-readers can be found in this collection. Also find policies, strategies, useful tips and instructions for e-readers in the library.
E-Resource Management This subject contains items of libraries's best practices for managing e-resources such as investigating new content for purchase or addition, acquisition of new content, implementation, ongoing evaluation and access, and cancellation and replacement review.
Facilities This subject contains information about building projects, renovations and construction. Also, anything about managing library facilities such as reporting problems, space assessment and displays.
Financial Management This subject contains items related to managing the library's budget. Spreadsheet examples, tips for working with the city clerk, recommendations of financial tracking systems may all be found here.
Friends This subject contains items that are related to Friends of the Library groups. Bylaws, activities, organizational notes, instructions on running different fund-raisers, ideas for fundraisers are all examples of items found here.
Foundations Many libraries have foundations to assist them in raising money from the private sector. Items in this subject are related to establishing, assessing capacity of funding and maintaining a library foundation. Examples of what may be found in this subject are articles of incorporation, bylaws, mission statements and fund raising ideas.
Funding This subject contains items related to how a library is funded. Budget presentations, budget analysis, grant sources, grant applications and awards, fund-raising ideas and procedures, and funding program ideas are what can be found here.

Marketing and Public Relations This subject contains items that are used to promote library programs, services and collections. Advertising, articles, flyers, brochures, bookmarks, videos, radio spots and promotional items are examples of what is found in this subject
Outreach Library outreach means bringing the library to the nontraditional or under-served patron through programs and services. This collection contains program descriptions, policies, procedures, and promotion related to outreach. Photos, videos and print material are items found in this subject.
Patron Training This subject contains items related to classes and individual training that a library offers to patrons. Public Services Public services connect users to library resources and information. Each library offers a unique set of services for the community. Reader's Advisory Readers' advisory is no longer just suggesting books to patrons; it now encompasses many different formats and means of communication. Reference This subject contains items related to offering reference service in libraries. Items such as reference request forms, question tracking systems, lists of sources, web sites and policies and procedures can be found here.
Social Networking Social networking expands the services of the library and takes patron interaction to a new dimension. This subject shows examples of how libraries have used social media to connect with their patrons.
Staff Training and Development This subject contains items used for developing and implementing training for library staff.
